Appraisals

When putting a value on an instrument one must consider three factors:

1. The condition, appearance, workmanship and setup of the instrument.

2. The antiquity and provenance of the instrument.

3. The sound of the instrument.

If one is thinking of buying a violin it may be that provenance is the first thing to consider.  Our workshop takes pride in being able to improve many things about the look, feel and sound of an instrument, but nothing we can do will make it more authentic. This is what makes certification, valuation and appraisal so important to both players and dealers and that is why this is an important service that we offer to our clients. If you are buying or selling or needing to insure an instrument you can depend on our expertise and honesty. We offer professional instrument appraisals at $100 for insurance or other purposes.
